The April 2000 issue of TAMIL TRIBUNE (in English) has an interesting article

"Tamil New Year"  (by Manjula)

The author makes a suggestion on how Tamils living abroad may celebrate the 
Tamil New Year. She proposes a little "game" people can play within the 
family on that day. Interesting!
